I'm afraid Mr Price needs a reality check, its not a combination of reasons we choose not to join the separatist movement, its straightforward, we feel more at home with Britain than a

• A new mutual[s] bringing together the best of the skills of the public and private sectors to push forward a Welsh New Deal in order to kick-start the economy.
• Establish a home grown series of new finance institutions to fill the void left by the London-based banks’ reluctance to lend to fledging businesses.
• Seek to create tax breaks for pension funds investing in Wales.

 Maybe Plaid-speak should be replaced by Politico-speak, because the words lack the virtue that honesty brings to a conversation.

The mutual is not the creature of politics, it is the manifestation of the working man and woman deciding to take the future into their own hands, occasionally the mutual might be the creation of a philanthropist, John Spedan Lewis created the John Lewis Partnership, so how does the Wood-Price partnership propose to create this brave new mutual world from the markets of the world.

Much like the mutual vision, the Politico-speak of the Wood-Price partnership is a shallow pond of political thought floating on the assumption that the electorate are in a permanent state of sleep.  Why do I believe this, well, creating new financial institutions requires capital, the only way a politician has to create such a beast is to either fund it with our taxes or to guarantee its borrowings with our taxes.  This is close to deception.

Tax breaks from the creatures of the left, this has to be an oxymoron, its not tax breaks that the electorate are looking for, its tax equality, we need all tax breaks to be removed, we need taxes to be paid by everyone and every organisation ...

Unable to get close to convincing the electorate of Wales that her vision for a Welsh Socialist State is preferable to our inclusive United Kingdom, even with the unsavoury aspects of life currently on peoples lips, she and her tiny separatist cabal have been unable to lift support much above a whisper amongst the electorate.  Her answer to Indifferent Wales is a call for Independence Light, she's obviously taking tips from that Scots blowhard Alex Salmond, a confidence trick, smoke and mirrors, a poor an attempt at political disguise.  Scotsman letter from Wood.

Wood, and presumably Plaid, believe that statehood is a form of straitjacket, her solution is simply to remove the straitjacket of the United Kingdom ......... and replace it with another straitjacket of her "Socialist State of Wales".

Her logic is as flawed as her rhetoric, Plaid is moving in an ever tighter spiral downwards to political oblivion, it's a shame its politicians were not content help the people of Britain making a better place to raise the next generation ..... but politics is not about people, its about politicians, the new aristocracy.

Plaid Cymru alliance with trade union ...

... ( PCS) is no different to an alliance between politicians and any other interest group, it is the imposition of a sectional interest upon the whole of society, in this instance the imposition of sectional interests upon civic society found in Wales.

Following a meeting between  Darren Williams, PCS’ campaigns officer for Wales and Plaid Cymru leader Monday last, he confirmed that the union was prepared to work alongside anybody they believed shared their objectives.  He confirmed that Peter Harris, PCS Wales secretary met Leanne Wood to talk informally about a few proposals for taking forward some campaigning work.

There is a darker side to this alliance, minority politics (Plaid has been reduced to a minority party in Wales) can by association with other radical minority interest groups disrupt the life of people disproportionate to any numerical influence gained at the ballot box.

Is there a positive note that democracy can bring from this alliance ...

Wood has coupled a trade union with her political party in a public manner, there can be no doubt as to where Plaid Cymru would take Wales, to an even darker place than Carwyn Jones who yesterday suggested WAG might buy Cardiff Airport, nationalisation in the 21st century seems so out of place, so 19th century.

But we get what we vote for in a democracy ....... someone at the Assembly might like to remind the sitting members that they have a job to do that requires a quality of purpose, hot topics such as Education and Health .......... buying airports is such political bullshit ...

... watching her yesterday evening I felt sorry for her for a brief moment, then I remembered that she had appealed to the young turks of Plaid, those turks with nothing to offer other than distant social media.  I wonder, has she been abandoned by the intellectuals of her party, because for sure last nights performance was not a First Division performance, she was unprepared, lacking a brief, and the eyes ... Ieuan Wyn Jones at least spoke with a passion that sprang from his eyes .......

Could there be a clue where she said  "We need fresh thinking, we need new thinking", could it be she was appealing for help ....

I had been expecting to witness a political conflict erupting from Plaid following her recent election as its leader, to have a very real Left Wing politician in Wales politics seemed manna from heaven ......

... as being ".. rude and bigoted" because of her very personal and shared republican values.

I don't know, but to understand the values that Mr/Mrs/Ms Watkins has I have replicated her letter written to the editor of the Western Mail, published this morning the last day of April 2012 :

SIR – I write as a Welsh-speaking Welsh woman whose roots lie deep in the culture and history of Wales, but I think of myself not just as a Welsh person but also as a member of the United Kingdom, of which the Queen is the constitutional head.

The Welsh are a race of warm, hospitable and tolerant people and as a race we must feel ashamed that the leader of Plaid Cymru was so rude and bigoted as to refuse to attend the Service of Thanksgiving held on Thursday to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

The Plaid Cymru leader was just invited to attend a service, along with 600 other people, to pay tribute to a lady who has worked for 60 years in a job that she did not actually choose to do and which she has fulfilled in an exemplary fashion. She has won the respect, loyalty and, indeed, love of people not just in Britain but all over the world.

But suddenly, in Wales, Leanne Wood, leader of Plaid Cymru for less than 60 days, could not show respect for a lady who has served her country for 60 years.

I feel ashamed and embarrassed on behalf of all the people of Wales.

Myself, the freedoms of speech and expression are too valuable to jeopardise because we might object to a viewpoint.

So Mr/Mrs/Ms Watkins, share your disgust, or shame, or embarrassment, with all the peoples of Wales, but lets not deny an alternative point of view.

Myself, I took the Queens shilling when I enlisted in the British Army so many years ago, and still feel an affection for our Monarch, but those "Freedoms of Speech and Expression" are far more important than the actions of a politician who is by definition a transitory beast ....

When she failed to trap Carwyn Jones into criticising his own Labour politicians in the Rhondda, a local issue for Woody (she's a Rhondda girl), he wanted to out Plaid's indifference to the plight of working men and women throughout Britain .... but he changed tack, from his list of "questions awkward" came his killer stroke to send her to the back of the class with a dunces cap firm on her head .....

“Does she (Leanne Wood) have full confidence in Neil McEvoy (extreme Plaid of Cardiff), someone who she’s condemned in the past?”

Her response was ....

"I’m not responding to that !"

Watching Plaid hopefuls on S4C ...

... I realised why the Welsh Assembly is so necessary, it is to reward the political faithful, to give hope to the political deadbeats, and the last (political) chance saloon for those reaching their dotage, in effect it is for the runners up, the political booby prize.

The designers, the conceptualisers, the inept who created devolution for Britain couldn't have envisaged the mess of potage that causes so much hot air amongst political pundits, would morph into such a dreadful talking shop that inflicts so much harm on the innocent.

And the proof of this particular pudding ...

In a speech, (reported by the BBC) Mr Jones will reaffirm his stance that there is no place for competition in public services.

... this lack of competition, might it be the reason medical equipment can cost so much more than other equivalent substitutes.

... this lack of competition, might it be the reason that patients are left calling for help.

... this lack of competition, might it be the reason that 27% of people in Wales wait more than six weeks for diagnostic services, compared to 1% in England.

Did the architects of devolution ever consider the effect that the political also-ran might have on the lives of the peoples of Wales, it cannot have, who in their right minds would inflict torture ....

Leanne Wood does ...

... appeal to the disaffected, those unable to collaborate with the majority, she attracts those who yearn for a land where they can indulge Marxist fantasies.

Of particular reverence to her are the failing Caribbean and South American countries of Cuba and Venezuela, both very left wing socialist, both dictatorships, both of which fit the Orwellian nightmare of centralised control. 

Hers is the world of the oxymoron “decentralised socialism”, the political nonsense that might have been written by Edward Lear; the constitutional objective that has never been defined by her political party, the constitutional conundrum that the ex-chair of Plaid fails to comprehend.  For her, it is the monumental example of “Smoke and Mirrors” that covers her Marxist agenda.

Now the others in the race for this Wales poison political chalice are a different bag of ferrets.

They do not have an extreme left wing ideology driving their politics, they sit somewhere between the Lib Dems and the Labour Party, at times they might be mistaken for members of these middle of the road groups as they wield their "debating épée" at the Assembly, ...

...although each brings the separatist baggage with them, the electorate don’t quite believe them, they are the acceptable face of Plaid ...

Plaid Cymru, whither or wither, ...

... Whither will they wander with Wood far to the socialist left, or Wither with Lord Dafydd Elis-Thomas much as a grape becomes shriveled, shrunken, or faded from loss of moisture, a sultana, an important ingredient; the choice for the members who will vote very soon for Plaid's leadership.

To understand the "Left of Lenin" support for Wood you need go no further than the blog of MH, his is the fertile ground for the disaffected of Wales, those unable to understand how the real world works, to whom the grass is always greener, should that be redder, on the other side of the British fence.

Flipping the coin produces the day of night and day, a person who sits firmly in the centre of political Wales, unfortunately his is at the time of life that produces the withered look, but fortunately for the membership of Plaid he offers a certain hope for the future, the cake yet to be baked despite the time it has been in the mixing bowl.

Add a little brandy, let it mature just a little while longer, Plaid not the person, this is where the future of Plaid the Party of Wales rests, not the far left lunacy of the young turks who have no memories of Socialist Europe, but as part of ............ dare I say Britain.

I considered using the expression "fruit cake" when describing the sultana and Dafydd, but the alternative meaning belongs with the supporters of Wood, the MH brigade ............ mad, strange, insane, or very silly.

Jobs, jobs, jobs ... she writes, read it and weep, literary devices to appeal to her left of left support within Plaid.  Unfortunately for the electorate of Rhondda Cynon Taff she demonstrates such a poor understanding of basic economics we should collectively wonder at her suitability to contribute in any form to the governance of Wales.

Cymdeithas yr Iaith Gymraeg, in need of a ...

... reality check, the Public Bodies Bill currently going through Parliament lists those organisations that require public funding in its scope, including S4C.  An amendment tabled to exclude S4C from the Bill was defeated in committee, following the defeat Bethan Williams, Chair of Cymdeithas yr Iaith Gymraeg, was led out of the committee room shouting (in Welsh) "This vote is an insult to the people of Wales", how many in the room would have understood her.

Elsewhere the House of Commons passed an amendment which says that the secretary of state shall secure that S4C is provided with sufficient funds to cover the cost of delivering its television services, seemingly a contradiction.

As a public body S4C is not in any way exceptional, nor can it be made an exception where public funding is used, the public should expect scrutiny of the organisation and its funding by our members of parliament, for a decade or more S4C has benefited from a £ Billion without effective scrutiny, the current state of this organisation tells a story of ineptitude of almost biblical proportions.

If the language activists wish to have total control over S4C they must ask for it as a gift from government to do as they wish, becoming a private organisation much as Sky TV, I'm sure such a request would be met with a positive response.  The funding then could be arranged through the Welsh Assembly Government, on an annual basis, in public, competing with all the other demands for public funds.  An organisation such as Cymdeithas yr Iaith Gymraeg might consider buying the TV channel and making it a pay-per-view option of the airways, then they would be able to do as they wished.

The bottom line is scrutiny, if you want taxpayers pennies expect it, scrutiny is the only way in a democracy.

Notable that Leanne Wood A.M. has refused to pay her license fee in protest against good governance, she also wants to have control over all broadcasting in Wales, what would the audience do if politicians screwed up in the same way our Wales education and our young peoples futures have been effectively destroyed, switch to Sky is my prediction.

Independence ... now Plaid looks out of the abyss ...

... into the eyes of the electorate, an electorate which will demand answers for so long shrouded in blue smoke as activists waved a mirror,   "Independence Day".

... as leanne dreams of being carried across the Rubicon to independence in Adams arms ......

No longer will misleading, duplicitous or frail justifications be accepted when outrageous claims are made, and now the Plaid eyes of the left will need to sharpen their pens and prepare their vision ...

... but lets ask the brigade of political poltroons to add a profit and loss column, because the truth is out there and the electorate deserve nothing less, what will independence cost the peoples of Wales.

On another matter raised at conference, we can now expect Plaid MPs to support Westminster in its quest to replace the building of a replacement for the nuclear power station at Wylfa on Anglesey, and when these MPs support Wylfa we can expect them to support the Nuclear programme with enthusiasm and vigour, in fact to support the notion that light is preferred to darkness.

... or will MPs follow in the footsteps of Jill Evans MEP and turn their backs on conference, as Evans has on the law!

The historian Suetonius, wrote that Caesar uttered the famous phrase ālea iacta est ("the die has been cast"), when he crossed the Rubicon with his armies, Caesars' treason was not punished for 5 years, how long before Plaid will receive a verdict by the electorate, about the same, 5 years.

... speculation within Plaid’s ranks that the Commission under Eurfyl ap Gwilym, Plaids economics advisor, established to examine the party’s future direction and strategy, may be tempted to recommend that the constitution be changed to allow someone outside the Assembly to become leader.

... the present system disenfranchises talented party members outside the Assembly. Those thinking in these terms usually point to the former Carmarthen East and Dinefwr MP Adam Price who, although presently undertaking a research fellowship at Harvard University, is widely regarded as an heir apparent for the leadership.

So my prediction for the Plaid Dream team of Price and Wood stands firm favourite ...

... and why not, Plaid are no different to the other political parties, theirs is a quest for power that Eurfyl ap Gwilym, a master pragmatist from the world of banking, will steer his party along a route that will appeal to the majority in his party,  a route preferred by the rank and file ...

Plaid dream team, music to the ears of ...

... the extreme left wing of the "separatist agenda" (Plaid Cymru), and a blessing in disguise to the traditional political parties of Wales.

Whether it is wishful thinking of the nationalist buffoonery or reality in making, the report from Wales-on-line is food for thought, Plaid Cymru sidelined ex-MP Adam Price is reported to be contemplating a future party leadership bid in partnership with left-wing AM Leanne Wood, where in the future might have been the next question, but Plaid AM Lindsay Whittle is on record as writing "Whoever will be our new leader must now recognise it’s an interim post in my opinion."

I wrote during June of the dream team, and during July of the abyss, both were early predictions of the future Plaid Cymru leadership, it seems the insider at the headquarters of the "separatist agenda" has got it right, there has been talk of rule change as I wrote during July as confirmed by ...

...Plaid Cymru spokesman said it was too late for any rule change motion relating to the election of the party leader to be put before next month’s annual conference.

This would require a change in the party’s constitution, and would have to be submitted at least two months before conference by a party unit like a constituency or the Assembly group. Other units would then have the opportunity to submit amendments.

....... a spokesman for Ms Wood said: "Leanne is speaking to various people in the party before deciding whether to stand for the leadership."
