WELSH language current affairs programmes should be as important to the BBC as output in Hindi and Arabic, Plaid Cymru AM Bethan Jenkins has urged.... I'll let others decide whether she is "Dastardly" or "Muttley", myself I would suggest the minorities she uses as examples would be very pleased to have a dedicated channel with the funding S4C currently receives, indeed the £billion spend on S4C during the last decade should have produced a world class welsh language service, it didn't.

Actually Welsh is the most heavily publicly funded minority language in the Western World. Better off creating factories for the poor to work in, better use of public resources.
ReplyDeleteI think as long as our politicians fingers are kept out of this particular pie, there should be seed investment for all sorts of companies in Wales, otherwise I am guessing the taxpayers pockets will get lighter and the viewers will migrate to sky.

I agree fully. a green tax on imports could revitalise our economy, in terms of wealth production for export, rather than bringing in stuff and our wealth going out.
